Creating a better tomorrow.
Since 2009, the New Look Foundation to ‘create a better tomorrow where people can express themselves and feel great’, we’ve raised over ￡850,000 for a range of good causes across the UK. This year, with your help, we want to raise ￡1 million more.
Fashion has its fun and playful side. But it can also be a serious force for doing good in the world.
We set up the New Look Foundation in 2009 to help create ‘a better tomorrow where people can express themselves and look great’. Today, our people give their time, money and energy to support over 40 national and local charities across the UK.
Who do we help?
Nationally, we support charities like the Retail Trust, who offer counselling, advice and financial help to people who’ve worked in retail. The Prince’s Trust, who inspire young people to get into work, education and training. Children’s Hope, who help to improve the quality of life for children and young people affected by illness, disability or poverty oversees in Bangladesh.
Locally, we also support a range of smaller community charities on our doorsteps – most recently, Weldmar Hospicecare Trust in Weymouth, Kids Company in London and Douglas Macmillan in Lymedale; plus over 30 charities across our retail store regions in the UK and Ireland.
How do we help?
We raise money for our Foundation in many ways. Through fundraising events, from fashion jumble sales and bake sales to marathons and dragon boat race and our Winter Wishes Ball 2013. By giving our own money playing our Pay Day Lottery or donating the pennies from our pay packet every month to selling products in store and volunteering.
Fundraising for these charities gives our staff and customers the opportunity to really make a difference. And there are lots of ways they can get involved.
