We take our responsibility for minimising our carbon footprint seriously. In order to understand our impacts and prioritise our reduction efforts, New Look calculates their carbon footprint from all business activities across Scopes 1, 2 & 3.
In February 2024, we reached a significant business achievement with the approval of our Science Based Targets (SBTs). We have created a comprehensive decarbonisation roadmap to achieve ambitious targets. This is an exciting and pivotal step as New Look's senior leadership team assumes responsibility for steering and overseeing the process.
Overall Net-Zero Target: New Look Retailers Limited commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2040.
Near-Term Targets: New Look commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by FY2030 from a FY2022 base year. New Look commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 42% within the same timeframe.
Long-Term Targets: New Look commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by FY2040 from a FY2022 base year. New Look commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90% within the same timeframe.
