Kindness from seam to stitch.

New Look Kind, is something we are really proud of - we take the trends and styles our customers love and work toward incorporating more sustainable uses of raw materials and production methods.  But we aren’t stopping there. We want to increase the feel-good factor by making it possible for our customers to the trace the backstory of the products they buy.

Our ambition is to be able to deliver 100% product transparency. Our Targets:

100%

sustainable cotton by 2022

100%

sustainable viscose by 2023

50%

recycled synthetics by 2024

>30%

of our products will have >25% recycled content by 2024

Supplying more sustainable products.

When it comes to sustainability, our industry faces complex, global challenges every day. By setting ourselves key focus areas, we can move towards a more circular economy that rethinks the take-make-waste cycle. We’re dedicated to:
  • Using less water
  • Using less chemicals
  • Using recycled, organic and traceable materials
  • Utilising green technologies
  • Working with the best factories
  • Reusing and recycling all that we can

Tackling real targets together with our customers.

We’re engaging our customers in environmental considerations, by being as transparent as possible about the products they’re purchasing.

We’re encouraging behavioural change by educating our customers and offering tangible ways in which they can extend the life cycle of the products they’ve purchased.

On-trend shouldn’t have to mean flash-in-the-pan. We help our customers to:

  • Look after their clothing
  • Re-wear their clothing
  • Re-sell their clothes
  • Donate their pre-loved clothing

Supporting Hospice UK

In 2019, we partnered with Hospice UK to create a unique take back scheme.

Together, we encouraged New Look customers to donate their pre-loved clothes at their local Hospice, with the added incentive of receiving a 20% discount on future New Look purchases.

Local stores were partnered together and received materials to promote the scheme. This sense of local community united teams from surrounding stores in support of a shared cause while directing customers into Hospice stores meant they benefitted from additional footfall.

>50%

of our stores took part in the first two phases of the project

>2,500

bags were donated in the first two phases of the project
